OUR JOURNEY

From Teaching Kids to Teaching Parents

Martial Arts and Primary School Teacher

The beginning of Sergio's journey started with martial arts. After winning 3rd place at the World Championships of Taekwondo, he set out to open his own martial arts school with the vision of helping the next generation to build character. During this time he began teaching at elementary and middle schools around the county.

Award-Winning Program Creator for Defiant and At-Risk Youth

After developing the reputation of being able to get the most defiant kids to listen to him, Sergio developed several award-winning programs for disadvantaged youth who were considered 'at-risk'. For his contributions to the youth, Sergio was recognized by the city, county, Mayor and district attorney and was featured in publications like the Los Angeles Time, OC Register, and Univision.

Parent Educator

Through his time working with kids, parents would often ask Sergio how they could get their kids to listen to them more. Sergio decided to help parents with some simple tips, but he knew he would have to modify his methods for parents to do it at home. In order to do this, Sergio spent countless hours researching child psychology, on top of the 10,000+ hours of experience working directly with kids and families, and devised a simple and practical system that any parent could use.

OUR VALUES

We Believe In...

Self-Improvement

Parenting is a skillset that can be improved. Tired of feeling frustrated, defeated, guilty, or overwhelmed? Tired of not knowing what to do or say? Don't worry, you can learn the skills to be a more effective parent!

Parent Leadership

Parent leadership is having a strong connection and trust as a foundation, combined with guidance, limits, and child empowerment. This is how parents can help their kids thrive, while having peace at home.

Connection Is the Priority

We believe in building and keeping the strongest connection with your kids, not only so they want to listen to you more, but as they grow and they need important advice they will come to you instead of their peers!

Good Communication

Parent communication should inspire cooperation, and encourage open communication from our kids. Sometimes we have to take a step back and see if our communication is inviting cooperation or resistance.
